New onset of clingy children

Has anyone else noticed their children becoming extremely clingy. I have 3 boys and a Stepson who have been argueing over who can sit by me, lay by me. "that's my mom!" type stuff. I was super shocked when my stepson joined in on this. He started stealing seats when his brothers would go to get a drink or use the restroom. I love that they are all lovey dovey right now but I can't get any space what so ever. As I type my middle son who will be 3 on Tuesday is on my lap =/

    My 18 month old has been like velcro for the past 2 weeks. Every second he wants me to hold him and he says mommy 6,000 times a day. He holds my legs and cries when I won't pick him up. Its totally unlike him. He usually can't sit still, and now he's been laying on my lap on the sofa. IDK what's up with him.

    Not really a difference here..but DDs only 10 months old..She goes through phases where shes at my legs all day just trying to get what I have or play with me but just as much time getting into other stuff..But like I said shes still fairly young so I dont know what her real norm is :)

    My 18 month old is banging down the door if I even walk into another room and close the door. I can't even use the restroom. I read that if children are clingy like this it's usually a same sex baby on the way. I sure hope not. I am hoping for a girl to help me. I'm way outnumbered!! =D

    i haven't noticed anything outside of the normal "terrible 2's".  if anything, he's running from me constantly as I want to change his diaper and wipe his face and generally just try to get him to do anything.  haha.

    Please, please tell me this is an OWT. I really want to have a girl. I will be glad to have whatever I have, but I want to have a daughter at some point, and I really would be happy with only 2 kids.

    I thought DS was clingy because he was sick last week, and he got 3 teeth in 2 days (molars too!) but he hasn't gone back to normal yet.

    ha, yeah.  but his screams when he doesn't get his way could shatter glass.  and he uses his gigantic head as a weapon.  today was good though.  only a few tantrums.  ;)
