I'm terrified to fly, I get awful flight anxiety. I've taken xanax in the past which makes me a perfect and happy flyer. I don't know what I'm going to do for thanksgiving...I can't take it while I'm pregnant and we're going to NY. I might die.
I have no problem with big commercial planes, but I absolutely hate the little planes, like the one I had to fly on today. Big planes are very smooth and great to fly on. I say go for it.
I get nervous at first but I have been on tons of flights. It's not as bad as you think.
Fyi....DH doesn't like flying AT ALL! he has seen La Bamba WAY too many times and gets extremely nervous. We went to Maui and he took some cough medicine to help him sleep and he pretty much slept the whole flight.

Don't have any advice here. I love to fly. Love it!
Something I have heard though, if you are anxious about being in a plane, especially the hieght of it, get a seat in the center of the plane. That way you can't look out the windows. Aisle seats are a little better, you won't feel as claustrophobic. Bulk head (the very front seat) is the best because you will have plenty of leg room and it virtually eliminates the problem of ppl crawling over you.
If you are still worried, take an ipod so you can blast music during takeoff and landing. They say turn those things off, but your one little ipod won't hurt anything. Also, gum is a must to help your ears adjust to the change in altitude.
Hope that helps! Just remember, flying is safer than driving.
After moving across the country from my family 5 years ago I have flown so many times - even if I had been afraid before I wouldn't be now! I enjoy it for the most part. I've actually found myself liking the longer flights better, the shorter ones don't go as high up and therefore have more turbulence. Go for it! It'll be worth it

Re: Do you like to fly??
