XP: no heartbeat

Last week was our first u/s at 6w3d. The embryo was measuring on target but the heart rate was lower than they wanted to see. It was 101 bpm. So we scheduled our follow up u/s today, now 7w6d. There was no heartbeat at all. The embryo was smaller than they'd expect, the guess is that this happened sometime in the past week. I've been spotting a little but nothing major, and not any red.

We go in on Sat for the D&C. I can't take any time off work so we have to cancel our romantic weekend getaway for this. Sucks. The whole thing just sucks.

Im totally heartbroken. My husband said it best "we only saw the heartbeat but it still feels like we lost a baby."

    Don't belittle or minimize your loss.. You did lose a baby.. I'm so sorry for your loss.  Take the time to mourn/grieve.  Sending you lots of hugs.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a baby at 6 weeks last summer and know the heartbreak that it brings.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

    I am so sorry. I've been through two miscarriages in the last year. It's awful. My heart goes out to you.
