TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

XP from TTCAL: No answers

We just got back from our appt with the RE.  Every dang lab came back perfectly normal.  Except for the karyotyping on me, which the lab lost.  Great.  It's less than a 2% chance that's the problem, according to the RE, but what else do we have to go on?  I'll have that redrawn after I'm feeling a bit better (still recovering from surgery on my foot due to the car accident Tues night).  Right now, I just want to cry.The current plan is this: monitoring of cycles, and progesterone after O (at least, when my foot is healed enough that I feel up to trying).  After 3 cycles of trying, if we are not KTFU, we'll do an HSG. After 6 months, we'll talk other options.  If the karyotyping on me shows a problem, we'll move to IVF with PGD. I'm still pretty drugged up, so sorry if this isn't very coherent.  The combo of drugs and emotions is rendering me useless.  Was it too much to hope for testing to show something? Anything?

  • I'm sorry they didn't come up with any answers. I'm glad you guys have a plan though. Good luck, it sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now.

  • I'm so sorry!

I understand the frustration of feeling like you're stumbling around in a dark room with no idea of where to head or what to do. Huge hugs.

  • What's the deal with the 2% thing? Is that just his way of saying it's really unlikely?

I can't remember your back story and what all the tests are the RE did. It's a double-edged sword. It's so frustrating to not know what's going on, but then sometimes knowing what's going on just sucks the last little bit of hope right out of you. But now knowing definitely blows. Fvck IF and loss.

Sorry to hear about the accident and I hope your foot heals up soon.

  • I'm sorry there were no real answers today- it really stinks not knowing- we're in the same boat- all tests came back normal for us too- big hugs!

  • I'm so sorry you weren't able to get any answers, but it sounds like you have a good plan.  I hope your foot is feeling better soon.  I had foot surgery a month and a half ago, so I can imagine what you're going through.  Wishing you all the best.  (((HUGS)))
