IUI #1 CANNED...

Ugh. I just got off the phone with my RE... and my I responded well to the clomid, and have large follicles, but my lining is thin... She said my estrogen was at like 1500... She said it was my call to do the iui. She said that she thought it was ood, that I responded so well, and estrogen was so high, but the lining was soo thin.. She said it was less than 5 % that it would work, and since we are using donor sperm, that it would almost be like "wasting" it... So she said I would be looking at doing Estrace and maybe Clomid again...

UGH.

She said I have to do the HCG (I have never given myself a shot before!... I may ask someone from the medical department at school to do it... ) shot cause she is afraid maybe the follicles might not release, and then they would turn into cysts next month... UGH.

She said I might be walking funny half the afternoon that I ovulate...

ugh.

FU IF!

Ok, so you all that have taken Estrace...side effects?

advice for me?

Oh no, I am so sorry hon!! I've always taken estrace while taking prog. supps too. I don't know that I've experience any s/e specifics to the estrace. I usually blame the s/e at that time on the prog.

I am so sorry that your IUI was cancelled! The same thing happened to me back in Dec., stupid Clomid! The following cycle my RE put me on tamaxofin and while I did not make as many eggs as I did on Clomid my linning did not thin out!! This actually resulted in a BFP, which unfortunately did not stick

I have never been on estrace but would look into tamaxofin as well.

I'm sorry about your canceled cycle. As far as estrace side effects, I use estrace pills vaginally and the only side effect was blue cm. Not a big deal at all and it really helped to increase my lining. Wishing you luck next cycle.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I don't have any experience with this, but POM juice is supposed to help thicken your lining. Maybe try that next cycle?

I'm so sorry the cycle got canceled...that is just awful, no two ways around it. I can't do the HCG shot, but I haven't had any bad side effects other than a little minor cramping during ovulation. Good luck next cycle...I hope they can get that lining plumped up!
