Relactation...day 1

I have decided to try relactating after almost 2 months. So far I have gotten a ton of encouragement from BF friends and hubby is all for it. I have been pumping for 15-20 minutes every 2-3 hours. And I start Blessed Thistle tomorrow (fenugreek didn't help me before)
Good news is I have a few drops of colostrum coming and my DD latched on like we never stopped! Although she stopped soon after she realized there wasn't any food coming out lol.
So hopefully this is the start of something good. If anyone else is doing this I would love to know how you are doing!
Sidenote: my boobs are killing me. Surprise

    There was someone keeping a blog about successfully relactating a few mo ago.  I think her screen name is berrybuzz or something like that.  She may be on 9-12...  Good luck!

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.

    Ty ladies! I am using nipple butter and the soreness has improved already. I don't want to use prescription drugs to get milk, too pricey and I heard it links to depression. And I am not sure if insurance will cover that?
    And I will look for the blog on relactation! My biggest hurdle honestly, well hurdles are waking over night to pump, and water...not a fan of h2o! But I am going to give it a month and if I get nothing, well I tried :)

    I have re-lactated with great success :) I stopped for 2 months also !! The first day i got what colostrum looked like too, but i was dry for about 7 days. I took fenugreek and blessed thistle and waited for my DOM to come in. I got maybe an once or so untill the dom came in, then i was full force.

    There WAS a re-lactating check in, then she stopped because she wasnt re-lactating anymore. She asked me to take over which i said i kindly would, but i honestly thought i was the only one left since i really was the only once in the check-ins. But ill do the check up tomorrow, so check in with me :) And good luck, you can do it :)
