You exclusively use BumGenius 4.0's correct? LO finally fits into these, and they now make up a majority of our stash. Just wondering 1.) do you use the one size insert, smaller ones, or any other kind of inserts? How about for nighttime? and 2.) on the one size insert, if snapped down to the small setting, do you put the overlap portion in the front or back?

Silly questions, but just wondering if I am using the CDs the way others are, and the fact you have a girl too might make that difference.

    Yes, we only use BGs! We use the 4.0s with snaps at home and the 3.0s with velcro when LO is in daycare (or when MIL is watching her). We love them.

    I like the one size insert better so we use these most of the time esp. during the day. If we're out of the OS insert, then I use 2 stay dry doublers. I can't ever use one. I mistakingly did one time and she leaked! I guess my LO is a heavy wetter? lol.   

    For night time, I use one OS insert and 1 stay dry doubler. It's enough to last her 10-12 hrs. We've only had a leak a couple of times and it's more of user error :-P. DH moved the snaps which resulted in leaks around the leg gussets. I've been meaning to buy some hemp to try out at night (along with the OS insert) but I always forget to do it.

    We put it at the back. I read somewhere that for boys, you put it in front and back for girls. DH was stubborn and had been putting it on the front for a while! It made LO's crotch look so thick! lol.

    yeah I put it in the back w/the BG organic AIOs that we use.  I don't think there's right or wrong with girls but it just looks more comfy in the back to me! :)

    Ok good! I'm doing it the same way and it seems to be working. I also want to try some hemp inserts as well. She goes pretty long in the 4.0s and no leaks yet with the one size insert. I also have the 3.0s in smalls, wondering how long she's going to be able to wear those. So far we are doing all aplix, but I might upgrade to snaps when she's bigger and more savvy.

    E is 4.5 months and is now 13 lbs. The 3.0s in small still fit her. I recently got some 3.0s in mediums and it fits as well lol.

    Ok, that's a good gauge. I guess Kenley is a bit big or E is small, b/c Kenley is about to be 3 months, and she is probably in the 12.5 lb range. I was wondering if it would be worth it to get some 3.0 mediums, esp since they are on sale. I hate how long they take to dry, but I love the fit. The 4.0s are so easy to dry and we just got 12 more of those. Hmmm, I'm getting all BumGenius crazy!!! haha

    If I were you, I'd take advantage of the sale and get the mediums! I never paid full price for any of my BGs :-).
