XP - Really frustrated PT'ing 3 year old while out in public

XP - We are now on Day 6 of potty training my 3 year old DS and I am getting really frustrated. We stayed home the first 3 days and he has been doing really well at home for the most part. An accident here and there, but not too bad. However, there is no way we can stay at home day in day out, DH travels all the time and it is pretty much up to me to do daily errands, etc. Not to mention DS is involved in various classes and activities.

Anyhow, the past few mornings, we are only out for an hour or so. We went potty before we went and right when we got to our destination. However, within fifteen minutes he has an accident (or at least the one time told me he had to go), and then within another TWENTY minutes has then had a major accident. I have the Gerber plastic training pants for him to wear over underwear so it kind of contains the mess.

I am just so frustrated because I feel like when he is going he is only going a bit at a time, then has a major waterfall. I feel like I am going to be trapped at home and not able to go anywhere because I know I will be changing his clothes every 20 minutes. Please give me hope that this gets better because I am really discouraged, not to mention 12 weeks pregnant and utterly exhausted.

    This too shall pass!  I would try doing mini-excursions (i.e. go for a walk for 15 minutes so you're away from the house & the potty but still back home soon).  You can also try limiting his liquid intake for a couple hours before you run errands.
