Hi I'm Salt and I'll be your post hoar today.
Anyway I was just discussing this with a coworker....remember these?
POGO BALL! I had two when I was 8 and used to jump down flights of stairs on them. It's a wonder I never ended up in the emergency room. Ohhh danger in the 80's.
I also found this link that brought back SO many memories and makes me wonder what kinds of things will be popular when I have a LO.

What were your favorite toys when you were younger?
Re: NTTGPR: Toys. The safe for work kind.
Do you remember the Skip It? I LOVED that thing.
I loooooved my Pogo Ball! I also had a Skip It that was fun, although I always got mad that since I was left footed the countdown went backwards for me.
TTC since 2010

haha! Not only did we think of the same toy, but we found the same image.

Oh my gosh, the Pogo Ball XDDD I totally had one of those!
Does anyone remember the Skip-It? I loved that!
eta: Okay the bump took forever to post that!! When I clicked Reply there were no comments yet lol.
DId anyone actually own these??
I always thought they were so cool when i was a kid..
I loved the skip-it and pogo balls. All the kids on our street had pogo balls and we'd all go hop around together.
A friend runs a daycare and when I was over yesterday, one of the kids had a Popple in her backpack. I teared up seeing that as I loved my popple.
Pogo balls were the best!
I think my favorite was either those stuffed Popples or my Rainbow Bright horse, there are about a hundred pictures of me holding that thing when I was little.

Wow the skip it is popular! haha. I loved mine! I also LOVED my pound puppies and we had rainbow bright EVERYTHING!
Our kids favorite toys will be breast feeding babies and cell phones. haha.
I didn't, but I always wanted to.
I was a little OCD with the Skip It. I just had to keep going and going and going....

I loved Rainbow Brite! I had Rainbow Brite bedding and curtains lol.
Also, He-Man, She-Ra, Care Bears, and Popples. I remember I had a plastic He-Man sword, and I'd go into the back yard, hold the sword up, and yell his transformation line, and then get all disappointed when I didn't transform, lmao.
AHH! The minute I saw this post, I thought of Moon Shoes or whatever they were called! I wanted some so bad, but my mom was adverse to anything you had to order off a TV commercial!
Chinese Jump Rope was insanely popular at my school. I went to school with a lot of Vietnamese girls, and they're the ones who brought it to our school and taught everyone else how to do it. I liked it a lot and was pretty good at it (way better at it than normal jump rope lol).
Excuse me, miss Salt, with all due respect, but how did you manage to jump down stairs on a ball? Aren't you possible the queen of klutziness? I gotta hand it to you though, I could never figure those things out.
I freaking loved my roller blades. I roller bladed everywhere. It's amazing I don't have a broken neck, really.

Nah I'm the queen of no rhythm. I'm usually okay unless there is dancing involved. Plus I had absolutely no fear back then. I'd definitely hurt myself now if I tried to do it.
ETA: OTTER POPS! YUM!
I don't know who introduced me to Chinese Jump Rope, but my little brother probably wanted to kill them. If we were stuck in the house, I would wrap one side on the legs of a kitchen chair and make my brother hold the other side. Poor thing...I was obsessed.

I also loved Creepy Crawlers. I love all things creepy and crawly still, I breed cornsnakes.
LOL I totally did this! Except as an only child, I rigged the rope up between two chairs XD
And My Little Ponies were my favorite!! I had sooo many of them!
I had them. And yes they were as awesome as they looked. I also looooved My Little Ponies to the point of obsession. Also Popples and Strawberry Shortcake (who is apparently back?!).
Much love to all of my magical ladies.
YES!!!! Creepy Crawlers were freaking amazing.
Oh! I loved these. My little sister got it for Christmas one year. I have a lot of fond memories of Saturday mornings playing with this thing.
I had SO MANY My Little Ponies. They were EVERYWHERE. I was just thinking about them the other day and wondering what happened to them all.
Ah my bad. Jump along, then. Luff you.

I never had success with my Easy Bake Oven. Maybe my light bulb wattage wasn't high enough?
I almost killed myself on one of those when I was 7! I had to retake my school photos because I skinned my nose up completely and lost one of my front teeth! Bad memories!

Bwuahahhaa!! That's awesome!! I'd have loved to have been your friend as a little girl, though I wasn't allowed to roller skate because my brother had broken his arm doing it, and we had no health insurance, lol!
I was 15 before I ever even TRIED rollerblading!

I do!!! I had one that folded up into a purse and a couple others. One of the little gem-people I had was an animal, like a dog or a panda or something.
