DH and I just discovered Apothic red, which is a blend of Syrah, Zinfandel, and Merlot. Its a semi sweet red and its so taaaasty.
Ooh, yes, that one is delicious!
My favorites are Simi Cabernet Sauvignon and Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon. I like full bodied red wines on the dryer side. Don't like whites at all.

I'm the opposite of Carolina and only drink white. Pinot grigio preferably and I'll try anything once. When I buy it for home, I usually just get the Barefoot kind. Super cheap and tastes great without giving me a cheap wine headache.

Have you tried Oak Leaf or Lucky Duck? I drink their reds when I'm just drinking it at home, and they're pretty good for $3 and $4 bottles respectively. Haven't tried the whites, but they might be another good cheapie alternative

Anything dry!!! I use to ony drink reds - primarily merlot, syrah, shiraz. But I had to find a good white for my wedding since I'm clumsy and I love sauvignon blanc.

I haven't tried either, but I'll look for them next time I go to the liquor store! Thanks for the rec. Plus I love ducks...so bonus.

This!! Barfoot Moscata is my go-to wine b/c the wine store always has it in the fridge! It's a tasty wine!!
Being from NY, I also like a bunch of the local wineries - Hazlitt and Glenora are probably my faves.
I love Pruno Nero Lambrusco, but haven't been able to find it since I left NYC. Now that summer's coming and I'll want a chilled red, I need to start hunting for it here in Colorado!
Siggy Note: Drunk Ron Swanson is on a break while Amy Poehler takes over for a while, summing up my thoughts on all this birth control, prenatal testing, women's issues stuff in the news.

Both DH and I like almost all reds except for Merlot (Sideways, anyone?) and sweet reds and prefer Pinot Grigio, Pinot Gris, or Sauv Blanc (or a blend) when drinking whites. There's also a Greek varietal called Nykteri that we love when we can find it. I also love, love, love champagne, prosecco, and cava!
Our everyday favorites ($10 or less) are Menage a Trois (white or red), Big House White, Becker Vineyards Iconoclast Cab Sauv (local Texas winery), Smoking Loon Pinot Noir.
Pricier favorites... anything red from Kathryn Hall or Duckhorn, most anything Frog's Leap makes, and Caymus Cabernet.
Petit Verdot. My g/f works at a u-brew wine shop and this was one of the limited editions they brought in last year. I can't find anything like it in the stores and the wine shop doesn't carry it anymore.
my favorite is pinot noir but in the summer i really like drinking sauv. blancs. yum!! someone on my local board just recommended the target boxed wine for their pinot grigio and i must say, it's really good (and i'm somewhat of a wine snob)!
Pinot Grigio = Santa Margarita. It has a perfect balance and great for a nice occasion. You can find it on sale for $20 at Walgreens or Publix.
Cabernet Sauvignon = Cupcake. Usually on sale for less than $10. Excellent, not dry. People that don't like reds usually like this one! Light and balanced.
Expensive Cabernet Sauvignon = Heitz Cellar.
For a change of pace, try SOFIA, it's a sparkling wine from the Francis Ford Coppola
We're also big fans of many of the Francis Ford Coppola wines = Claret

I wanted to like this one because I love the label (my usual wine picking mechanism!), but I thought it was kind of acidic. Maybe I just got a bad bottle, I'll have to try it again!
