Hello All,

I am 18 wks and 3days with twins and this morning I woke up with a stuffy/runny nose and ears popping.  Has any of you experienced this and if so what have you taken for it?

Re: Sinus infection

  • I had a pretty nasty one a few weeks ago and I took Robitussin for it- I got the day and night separate formulas and I was better in about a week.

    Hope you feel better quickly

  • Z-pack.  I would start with a netti pot or sinus rinse first though.  I personally like the NeilMed Sinus Rinse.

  • The Neilmed Sinus Rinse is a miracle. I have been battling stuff for two months now. Sleep with a humidifier on. I was taking Tylenol Cold/ Sinus but I have switched to Mucinex. Drink A LOT of water! Hope you feel better soon!
  • This is happening to me now!  UGH!!!  My sinuses are killing me, and I think I'm getting a drip when I sleep becuse my throat is sore when I wake up in the morning!
I'm going to try the Neilmed Sinus Rinse, hopefully it works!!!
    Hope you feel better soon!!!
  • Use a Neti Pot.

I had the same thing last weekend and I pretty much wanted to die. I called my midwife, who suggested a Neti Pot. Instant relief.

  • I have had some issues for a couple weeks now.  I have not taken anything yet with the exception of tylonel a couple time for the headache, but I am considering trying the Netti Pot...Just trying to get the courage. I am afraid of it for some reason....fear of drowning...hahaha!

Hope we both find some relief soon!

Hahaha. Yeah, it's definitely a little weird the very first time, but it's very easy and works exceptionally well.

  • I had one about a month ago and nothing made it better. At night I felt like I was drowning.  I broke down and went to the Dr and was put on Amoxi for ten days.  It took like 4 days to get feeling any better.  Good luck!

  • Same deal here...rough sinus infection, mine isn't draining though :( So the pain has been unbearable. Actually had an OB appt this week and inquired about it. OB said to get Vicks Vapor Liquid, put it in boiling water and inhale the steam (put a towel over your head to trap some of the steam around you...but don't get too close...it gets really hot!). The menthol should help clear you up....this is after I tried gargling with salt water and using the neti pot.  If it doesn't work, you might need an antibiotic.
