My birthday is this weekend and so my parents and sister have been bugging me about coming down to celebrate (I've been kind of a recluse lately).  Anyhoo.  I finally invited them to come up Saturday night for dinner.  My sister says she can't do Saturday, can we do Sunday?  I could accomodate that, but my sister is the kind of person that always thinks the world revolves around her so it kind of irks me that she thinks I can just rearrange things to fit her schedule.  Do I switch to Sunday or do I send her a nice note saying, "sorry you can't make it, I'll catch you next time"?

    The way I see it is that it's your house, your birthday, and your call on when the dinner is.  I like having Sundays to ourselves, personally -- I'd much rather party Saturday night and have a full day to relax before the work week hits again.

    But if you really want to include your sister, well, then that makes it a tougher decision.  Me?  I'd be a biiitch and say, oh well, we'll miss you Saturday.

    It is your birthday.  You should do what YOU want to do.  If you want it on Saturday, do it then.

    TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!

    The restaurant I picked is closed on Sundays... (I just looked it up) so definitely going with option #2
