Anyone get a spray tan while they were preggers? Did you ask your doc? I've never gotten one before in my life, supposedly it's organic, and I feel disgusting. Would love a little beauty pick me up.
From the bump Q&A, "Spray tanners or sunless tanners contain dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, which
may be absorbed into your bloodstream either through your skin or by
inhaling the spray. The effects of DHA on the pregnancy are simply not
known -- but it hasn't been proven to be safe in pregnancy. My general
advice is to avoid it until it has been proven to cause no harm."

I've read mixed opinions on it. I know people that have had it done with no issues. But then again I know people who smoke and drink and give birth to "healthy" babies. (Who's to say those babies won't have developmental issues later! I hate when people say "i did and my baby was fine" just because the kid didn't have horns or a third arm at birth!)
Personally, I haven't and won't consider it.
And that's coming from a pasty white girl who LOVES to tan!!

I have had it done probably twice during both of my pregnancies. My doc had no issues with it.
i did not go in a booth, it has a lot of fumes. I got directly sprayed by a tech and wear nose plugs.
I just did this for maternity pics and a wedding I was in. I have had skin cancer, so I get spray tans when I am not preg too.
