My doctor told me I was extremely long and closed today.. yay me (not).. anyways, he REALLY reached in there and tried to do some stretching and scraping (The pain was tough but not too hard to handle).. so now I have been spotting and having light BH contractions. Plus my hooha really hurts way up there.

I was wondering, did anyone else's doctor try to do some stretching and scraping during an exam that made them spot? Did it help any? I really just want a reason to get my hopes up I think.lol.

    I don't think my OB was trying to scrap and stretch but it definitely hurt whatever he did. I started having BH a few hours later, which turned into real contractions 2 days later. My OB appt was on a Tuesday and I delivered on Friday morning.

    My dr didn't do anything outside of a check but when I stood up I started dripping blood everywhere. The nurses said this is typical, blood vessels on the cervix etc. Mine went on about half a day. I was freaked out but when it slowed and I felt baby move I was ok. Good luck.

    My dr. has only done one internal a few weeks ago- i'm having another one done today....  and i bleed for almost 2 days afterwards.  its normal to spot a bit afterwards, but i didn't have the discomfort or BH.  Good luck!

    At one of my internals he said it felt like I was trying to dilate - it felt like he was trying to dilate me.  I spotted the next day off and on, that was 2 weeks ago

    i've been 1-2 cm, 50% effaced for 3 consecutive exams (weeks), and bled and had BH after all of them.  My Dr didn't mention trying to do anything, but the exams were pretty painful and I was sore for awhile after.

    I'm sitiing at my desk at work, still very pregnant.
