Engorgement? Leaking?

Hi all! My LO is a little over 5 months and I've and never gone more than about 4 hours during the day without nursing or pumping... My question is, what happens if I want to take more time than that off one day? I want to go to a Sox game with DH in April and I'm guessing I'll be able to nurse at about 11am and then again at 6pm... I hope! I can't exactly pump at Fenway Park or on the nasty train...haha! and I don't want to bring the baby so I was planning to let me parets baby-sit... Has anyone gone a day with a long stetch like this, and did you have painful engorgement or leaking? TIA!!

I have and it may be ok if you pump right before you leave baby, and maybe on your way home in the car while hubby drives. You will probably leak or be engorged though. But if you have a manual or single, just bring a bag and a cooler and pump for at least 10 min in the bathroom and store it in your purse or something. It will be way too noisy for anyone to hear and if they do, oh well lol!

Thanks so much for your response! That's a great idea.. I actually have a single manual pump that someone gave me, that I've never used b/c I have a dual electric, but that would probably be a great solution! I don't care if people hear, it's just that the bathrooms are so gross, haha... Oh well, I'll just have to deal! Thanks again!! Big Smile

No problem. I think as long as you express as much as you can you should be fine. Singles can be a bit louder but it will be so noisy during the game. I am jealous...BIG Redsox fan! Enjoy it

Thanks! I will! Although I'll miss Logan.. I'm a little sad to miss a weekend day with him when I'm at work all week!
