Best small SUV for Multiples

DH and I found out yesterday that we are having TWINS!!! So exciting. We are in need of a new vechicle.

What is your recommendation for small SUV's? I would LOVE it if it had a third seat, but not a MUST.

We have both of our car seats in our Trailblazer already and they fit great. If you are buying used, there were a few years where they made an extended version that would have a 3rd seat. We just have the 'short' version, it has lots of room in the back for groceries, strollers, etc...

I don't know if you would classify this is small, but it's certainly no Suburban. I love our new GMC Acadia. It has a third row. Our BJCS stroller even fits behind the third row.

I LOVE our Hyundai Santa Fe. Plenty of room for 2 car seats in back, and lots of storage room for the double stroller, groceries, etc. No 3rd row though.

We have a Toyota Rav 4 which I love, but honestly I wished we would have gone bigger. The car seats - especially now that they are in convertibles, take up the entire back seat, so I can only carry 1 passenger with me. There have been times, like when my MIL is coming into town, that the three of us would like to take the girls to the zoo without having to take 2 cars. So, think long and hard about that 3rd seat...

I traded in my sedan for a Honda CR-V last month, and LOVE it. I needed 4WD, and it has a third seat. The twins are in their convertible seats, and there's plenty of space for us up front. Also, my BJ city mini fits great in the back, with plenty of extra space.

We just bought this and we are loving it so far! There is actually a model with a third row, but trunk space was way more important to us. I think it's the perfect size - it doesn't feel too "compact" but it's not too big either. I was previously driving a two door car, and the change to driving the Santa Fe has been really easy. LOVE it (and glad to see a MoM whose twins are here loves it too!).
