Babies: 6 - 9 Months

what are my friends trying to do to me...

Seriously girls!? I posted a few days ago that I was having trouble finding cute clothes to wear for my girls weekend in Nashville this weekend. I finally found some really cute clothes that hide my post baby love handles! I thought I could relax after that. I was sooo wrong! Now I get a phone call saying "bring your bathing suit!" You have got to be flippin' kidding me, right?! This leaves me 1 day to find something...I am so not comfortable in a swimming suit yet. One piece or not...I feel like I just want to stay home now :(

Re: what are my friends trying to do to me...

  • I would be crying! I don't even want to look at a bathing suit let alone get in one. You should look at cute 40s styles, they always covered more!

  • Yeah, I'll definitely be rockin' the tankini this year, thankyouverymuch.  Probably a black one...dark, dark black.  Hehe.

  • :( sarong and cute tank? I agree with the 1940's style though. They are Just universally flattering.

  • O no, that really stinks. Why would you need the swimsuit (hotel pool?)

I'm actually going to Nashville in April for a girls weekend! - NO bathing suits involved... I'm  pretty excited. I hope you have a good weekend.

  • Of course saying "eff you, I'm not putting my ars in a bathing suit in freaking March!" is also a viable option...

Or you can just plan on drinking enough that you don't really care. (These days, for me, that would be a glass and a half of wine.)

it is an option, and it will probably be said. But maybe I will just take a nice nap while they swim/hot tub it up in the hotel!
  • Ugghh I would die. A fb friend posted this sight www.limericki.com. It has some really cute "mom" swimsuits. Probably to late to order from their but just thought I'd share. I have the same love handles. I'm 5 lbs less than my pre-pregnancy weight but I look, well, disgusting. Hope you find something that makes you feel comfortable. Have a fun weekend!

ah....thank you! I will have to look into this for the summer!
  • We went away in Feb (to Aruba) and while i've lost most of the baby weight my body shape is SO different and I don't really love it :)

I spent a fortune on an awesome tankini that I love. I like the thing so freakin much I dont care if my thighs look huge. Big Smile

  • UGH! I can't even imagine. How about something like this? A shirred suit is totally flattering. They have this style on Target.com. It comes with straps. I have one for our baby swim class.

  • PS is your Nashville trip this week? Where are you staying? Nashville is SO much fun! One of my fave places I travel pretty regularly to for work.

I wonder if Target carries those suits in the store? I will check tomorrow! Thanks. And yes...my trip is this weekend! We are staying at the Marriott in Vanderbuilt or something like that. I love it there too, my brother lives in Nash"vegas" :)
  • Costco has one piece Speedos right now that are suprisingly forgiving.  Cut a little too modestly in the leg for my preference, but I can't argue with how it looked, which is saying something w/ my 4 months pg-looking stomach!
