so at my last appointment we set up my induction for 41.5 weeks. hopefully she comes before then though!
anyways, i'm supposed to come in at 7:30 at night. i'm assuming so that i'll deliver in the morning. does that mean i'll definitely lose a night of sleep? that's making me nervous.
Re: induction scheduled
You will want to try and sleep the day of the induction. It also depends on what medication they are starting you with. I went in at noon and was given a dose of cytotec at 1 and then 5... then at 10pm since there was no progress and only minor contractions they let me sleep at the hospital. My water broke at 3am... so it wasn't that much sleep. The contractions after my water broke were way intense.
If you are deciding on an epi, you could probably catch a nap through some of the contractions depending on how fast you progress.

You might be given the gel to soften your cervix and then sent home if you're scheduled that late in the day. It could take awhile to get everything going, so you'll be able to get a little bit of sleep.
