Newbie intro and questions....

Hi there ! while I have been on and off the boards on a regular basis, but I wanted to do a proper intro ! My DH and I have been TTC since May 2009. After our 3rd IUI and BFP (we were so excited!) I have to get a D&C done since there was no further development  - no heartbeat.  We just have our 4th IUI on 3/11/11.  My heart goes out to all the ladies that have been TTC ....

In addition to only having one working tube, does anyone else have a unicornuate uterus and have they discussed the high risk pregnancy ?

I am normally try to be positve about this journey, lately the emotional roller coaster is getting to me. While we want to keep moving forward, I think a break might be healthy.  Is anyone feeling the same way lately ?

Re: Newbie intro and questions....

  • HI and welcome to the board.  I hope your stay is short and you will get your BFP with this IUI.

DH and I took a break between IVF #1 and IVF #2 which we are in the process of now.  It was a 3 month break and while part of it was a forced break, it was a well needed one at that.  IF is an emotional roller coaster and I know it gets to everyone at some point.  You just have to remember that everyone deals with it differently and you have to do what is best for you and your DH.

Best of luck with your decision!

  • Welcome to the board...the ladies here are amazing!  I am very sorry for your loss and hope IUI #4 is a fantastic success, but agree that a break could be healthy if it comes to that.  My DH and I are in the process of IUI #3 right now and have been SERIOUSLY considering a break after this to consider our options, rest up, take vacations, sleep in on the weekends...you know, get our lives back.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  They are never easy.  After my D&C I took a break from trying.  You need to do what you feel is right.  Sometimes the stress of IF is jsut too much to handle and a break may be just what you need.  Wishing you the best of luck whatever you choose to do.. Take care!
