Pump for nipple stim?

Has anyone used their pump for nipple stimulation? Since I'm due tomorrow I was thinking of breaking it out tonight. I'm really sick of being pregnant and none of the other owt have worked and this is the only one I haven't tried. If you did try this did it work for you? I'm also gonna have a little sexy time with dh tonight and probably take a bath too.

    I've tried it the past two days...15 min each nipple twice. I don't think it really gave me any contractions. If it did, they weren't that strong. I've heard it gives really strong contractions similar to those used when you have an induction. Make sure you put some lanolin on before and after if you try it!!

    I've heard that you really have to tweak on your nipples for the nipple stimulation to work, and I assume that is more that the breast pump will do.  Also, I've heard you should only do this with the dr's ok.  So I'd double check first, because if you do it right the contractions will come fast and furious and the dr. will need to be ready!

    Everything I read said you have to work on it well over an hour and my nipples didn't like that idea.  So I never tried it.  Some places also said if you are successful that you will get some pretty painful contractions because of the oxytocin you release.

    If you are planning on BFing, I don't think this is a good idea.

    When you first BF it can be quite painful, so I would hate for the pump to irritate your nipples before you even start BFing. I would think that could make BFing more painful in your first few rounds!

    I tried it for about 30 seconds and decided it was to painful. Then I begged FI for sex, and went into labor that night. lol. The sex may or may not have actually done the trick, but I'm going to go ahead and say that it worked for me.. and it was much more enjoyable than using the pump.

    I broke out the pump @ 7:30pm, and my water broke at 10:15pm.  Don't know if it's because of that or not.
