Insurance Question

DH and I's insurance right now does not cover IF treatments. We just hit the one year mark so we haven't started much testings yet, however, DH is enlisting in January in the National Guard and we could get insurance through them (which I think does help cover any needed IF treatments. I have to double check though).

What I'm wondering is, if we start testing now and they find something, would it be considered a pre-existing condition if we were to change insurances in January? I'd just wait to January, but I have a constant pain in my side that I want checked out.

I would have the pain in our side checked out as a non-IF issue and wait until January to do the IF testing, just to be on the safe side.
