I'm a "Wait for AF" girl. I've not been off BCP that long but it seems like my cycles have been very regular. The plan is to wait until a week after AF is due, if that ever happens.

I'm still waiting for my first PP AF so I've been testing 16 days or so after the last time we had sex. Once I'm charting again, I'll be waiting till 16dpo (if I can hold out that long) once we're TTC again. We'll be TTA for a while until DH's school situation settles out.

Most know my stance on testing. Wink

However, I must admit that I am shocked that "Wait for AF" has such a high percentage. It seems the vast majority of this board starts testing at 10DPO if not sooner...then come to whine/complain they got a BFN while admitting they know it is too early.

Last cycle I waited until 9 DPO, which was two days after I noticed a possible implantation dip. It was positive, but ended in a CP 6 or 7 days later. I will be testing early again so I can get to the doctor to get betas and progesterone levels done ASAP.

(Although without the previous CP, I can totally see why it is worth it to wait for the day your period is supposed to show and I think I would do that)

I always wait for AF. But if it is more than 2 days past when it's predicted I'll test and get my BFN then.

That's because those of us that wait for AF, just wait, and then move on to the next cycle. I don't ever post about it, I drink a margarita and move on!

BFNs suck. I'd rather see the temp dip and start drinking

I confess I am typically the 10 DPO person, but this cycle my goal is to make it to my FF Test date (14 dpo).

I'm a special snowflake. This is our first month TTC and I'm not charting yet so I have no idea how many DPO I am (or if I am at all). That being said, I POAS this morning so I could enjoy a glass of wine with Modern Family tonight and not be paranoid.

I am a wait for AF, but I voted for >14 dpo... mainly because every cycle we've been trying (7), AF has shown on 14 or 13 dpo. Anyway, no BFN because AF has shown up before I would have tested.

Wine works too. I usually start with a margarita, because I love them so, and then open up a bottle of wine the next night!

I say I wait for AF, buuuuuuutttt, this is how it really goes down:

10 DPO- phantom symptoms begin with feeling nauseous, headache and having that metallic taste in my mouth. Take a test. BFN.

11-15 DPO- phantom symptoms continue.....keep crackers by my bed and ginger ale in the fridge. Telly DH I just "feel" pregnant. He tells me it's in my head. Take a test one evening- BFN. Take another test the next morning, thinking it was negative because I didn't catch first morning urine....still a BFN.

Around 15-17 DPO- AF comes. Tear. DH Doesn't even ask me about it. It begins again!

It looks and sounds good to say I don't test early and wait for AF, but I don't. I won't fib here.

I did the whole test early thing the first month of TTC...... I didn't like it all. It was so much stress and let down. I haven't tested since then because AF has come on time...

I know logically I should wait, but I can't help but test at 9 DPO every time because that is when I got my BFP with LIly. I know it is not logical, but I cannot resist. At least I only use IC so I am not peeing on too much $.

I try and try and try to wait it out. But I get antsy. I've decided all along this cycle to wait until April 1. I'm already trying to guestimate how many DPO I could be and if it would be worth it to POAS. ::Le Sigh:: So impatient.

I voted 'SS" since I have a short LP, it doesn't seem worth it to test at 7dpo!

So far, I haven't tested yet.
