Who has a baby...

...that doesn't want to be put down right now?  I've seen multiple posts from Feb mamas that have LOs who want to be held 24/7.  I'm right there with you all!

So who has a baby attached to them all day right now?

How old is LO?

How are you dealing with it?

  • So who has a baby attached to them all day right now?  Me most definitely

How old is LO? 6 weeks yesterday

How are you dealing with it? We've resorted to a lot of baby wearing.  She won't nap anywhere other than on someone or being held right now, so I Moby her for most of her sleep time during the day.  It's working, and I keep telling myself it's temporary.  I love that she's so cuddly, but my back isn't loving me!

  • Oh yes...this is mine too. He's just over 5 weeks old. Most of the time, I put him in the baby bjorn or take him on a walk in the stroller. I also make sure to try and put him in his bouncy seat or playmat for as long as he will tolerate it and try to stretch that time out a little more each day. I have noticed that he will stay in them longer or play longer without wanting me to hold him whenever I try to do this more.

  • I'm definitely there.

LO is 5 weeks and I've yet to find a carrier I like (though I'm leaning towards the Moby), so it's been a bit of a nightmare. Yesterday, I had company coming over, and she was too fussy even for her swing, so I ended up cooking cupcakes with her in one arm almost the entire time (bumped her poor head on the fridge at one point and felt like the worst mom ever.)

I look forward to this stage being over, but right now I'm just doing whatever works--lots and lots of bouncing and talking to keep her distracted.

  • LO hasn't been like this until now (1 month today).  I'm breaking out the moby.

  • Yup.  I do a lot of things 1 handed.  DD is just over 1 month, and wants to be held all the time except during her 1 good nap every day.  During that time I shower, do laundry, get dinner planned/ready, clean, and try to do some work (I'm working from home during maternity leave and saving my hours to add onto the end of my paid leave time).  I have never been so productive in all my life as I am during those 2 hours each day.

  • So who has a baby attached to them all day right now?  I have a most severe case going on here. How old is LO? 2 monthsHow are you dealing with it? We hold him constantly. We even have to hold him for him to sleep.  I try putting him in his RnP for a few minutes occasionally and give him a few minutes a day on his tummy time mat but besides that it's one of us 24/7.  Did I mention he won't sleep in a Moby or Ergo either? I SAH with him during the day and DH sleeps with him at night. It's honestly really tough but the alternative is that he never sleeps and cries all day so it's been worth it so far.
