Preemies

enfacare vs. neosure?

Is enfacare and neosure the same thing in different brands?  One of the twins can switch between enfamil and similac without a problem.  Today at the store, they did not have neosure, just enfacare.  I thought they were the same thing, but just wanted to make sure.

TIA!

  • It is a different brand-Enfamil and Similac-both Enfacare and Neosure are for preemies and growth.

Just wanted to let you know that my pedi said he didn't recommend switching between brands because it can take a while for babies to adjust.

  • The nutrional ingrediants are the same but the inert (filler) ingrediants can be very different.  My daughter was on Neosure and we eventually stepped down to Similac Sensative.

One time I had formula checks for Gentelesse so I thought I'd give it a shot.  Bad choice!  Something in the Gentelesse wasn't so gentle on our LO's tummy.  After 2 days of screaming despite belly drops at every feeding I ended up donating the rest of that container of formula to our daycare.
