Birthday Party Food?

we are having DD'ss bday party at MyGym and the time falls right around lunch. However, no food can be in the area where the equipment and stuff is located. So, I was thinking of fruit, veggie and cheese tray plus cupcakes and rice krispie treats. My issue is that one guest is allergic to wheat and eggs and I don't want to have a lot of food she can't have. I found really good wheat free/egg free cupcakes! So, suggestions on other things I can add???

The party is only for 90 minutes so I have a feeling most of the kids will be way too busy to eat but I wanted to have something more than just sugar-filled snacks.

Re: Birthday Party Food?

  • How about individual bags of goldfish/pretzels/crackers?

  • For DDs 2nd we did all of her favorite foods.  The hot ones won't be helpful to you, but in addition to fruit and veggies, we had goldfish, pretzels, tortilla chips, bread with dip (pita and hummus), jelly beans, M&Ms, and other finger food.
  • at my dd's birthday party, the two-year-olds were gobbling up olives, small pickles, and berries in addition to the cupcakes, popcorn, veggies, hummus, and chips we served.
