L has never once slept flat on his back for more than 5 min. He just flat out refuses and will scream until you get him. He has always slept in his bouncer or swing. Ever since he got sick last week he has been refusing the to sleep in the bouncer and will only settle for the swing. It's not where I'd like for him to sleep ALL of the time, but he needs his sleep so I let him. Well yesterday, he was napping in his swing, he started crying, and by the time I got upstairs to him he had completely rolled over and was face down in the swing. I thought it was a fluke, but he did it again in the middle of the night. Obviously that's not safe especially if it happens in the middle of the night and we don't hear him. He seems to want to sleep on his side, but can never get comfortable enough to actually fall asleep like that. I'm running out of places to try to get him to sleep. I've also tried co-sleeping, but he wants absolutely nothing to do with it

Any ideas or advice? He needs his sleep and I need my sanity back!

Re: sleeping advice please!
Obviously, you are not (and I am sure none of us are) okay with allowing LO to sleep in a swing face down. But what about crib tummy sleep. I know it is a debatable thing, and I am liable to be flammed for suggesting it. . .
My LO was like yours in that he NEVER slept on his back, he'd nap in my sight on his stomach and sleep would come so easily. So around 3/4 months I started letting him do it over night.
However, I was comfortable in doing this because I knew he was strong, he could move his head side to side and even showed signs of wanting to roll over. It worked for me. Other mom's may not like the idea but it is about your family and what works for you.
