How do yours compare to Google's?
Up to 12 weeks off at approximately 100% pay, eligible for an additional 6 weeks if employed at Google for more than 1 year.
Up to 7 weeks off at approximately 100% take-home pay
To help make things easier, new moms and dads are able to expense up to $500 for take-out meals during the first 3 months that they are home with their new baby.
Re: M/Paternity Benefits
Wow...I took 2 law school exams the week after Maddie was born, got 0 pay while I was out for my "maternity leave" (i.e. Christmas break) and was back at work/school when she was 6 weeks old. I knew I should have stuck with that MIS major....
Seriously though, that is A-MA-ZING!!!!
Holy crap, those are amazing benefits. I got 6 weeks @ 70% pay, took an additional 2 weeks of vacation time. DH got 2 weeks-one of the perks of his place of employment
The take out meal thing is crazy!
Um yeah- that's fabulous. Way better than anything I got (8 weeks paid out through my sick leave that took me 3.5 years of no sick days to earn). I'm not complaining... but remember that in the eyes of some, teachers have the *best* benefits.
I like the take-out meal part. Never heard of that.
I get 12 weeks 100% pay and my H gets 2 weeks 100% pay.
