Did you bring...

your purse to the hospital?  I was planning on leaving it at home and just bringing my id, insurance cards and lip gloss in a baggie for my bag...i figure DH will have his wallet and some cash if we need it.

Re: Did you bring...

  • No, I did what you said you're thinking of doing - I didn't want to bring my purse - so I just packed the necessary stuff in my hospital bag.  It worked out well!

  • Yes, I took my purse...although I think I only needed my phone and my calendar/planner.  I pre-registered for the hospital so I didn't need my ID or insurance card, and I made appointments with my OB and the baby's pediatrician while I was in the hospital.

  • I did. I didn't want to need something that I forgot to grab out of it. I never reached for it, but it was nice to know it was there in case. :)

  • No. My hospital actually told me NOT to bring it with me. I didn't need anything, even though I did pack my license and insurance card with me. If you pre-registered, then you shouldn't need to have anything with you.

  • never thought about it but makes sense to leave it at home and just maybe take my wallet.

  • I brought it only because I drove into the dr. office by myself thinking I was in false labor at 37 weeks. Well, I never went back home because I was having the baby! Otherwise I most likely would've left it at home. I believe the only things I carry in it that I used were my cell phone and my nail filer.
  • I just brought my wallet and phone.  Everything else I needed was in my overnight bag.

One less thing to worry about was nice!

  • I did, only because I went into labor unexpectedly and barely had my hospital bag packed so when the doc said to come to the hospital, it was grab n' go!

  • I wouldn't bring my purse on a normal day.  I'm not a purse kind of person. (though I have a fabulous one, thanks to DH and the 3rd/Leather anniv).

I took my wallet, phone and keys from my purse and put them in my overnight bag.  (Chapstick was already in my toiletry kit).
