What to do in Kent?

I need to bring something to a friend in Kent this morning and I want to do something outside with the kids. Any good parks we should hit up? She lives near the green river trail. Should we just go for a long walk there?

  • Near the Green River trail?  I live on GR Road and haven't heard of that....

To be honest, there aren't any spectacular parks in Auburn or Kent that I know of....  If it were me, I might be tempted to drive over to Saltwater State Park and go to the beach.

  • Yeah it's a big bike walking path along the river. There's a good park in auburn called Les Gove or something like that but I don't want to go all the way down there.

  • I actually thought about Les Gove - if it were summer, I'd say yes because it has a new water play area.

And....I know what you're talking about now - the trail you're talking about crosses the Interurben trail.  I just wasnt' sure what you were talking about.

I wouldn't necessarily go there because right now, it's not so pretty with the big water wall that runs between the trail and the river, right along the trail (and on it in some points).

I honestly can't think of anything in the area that isn't private property.

  • I always go to Saltwater State Park because it is just down the road. C loves to run on the beach and we play on the playground.

  • How about Mill Creek Canyon Earthworks Park?  I've always liked that one although its been years since I've been there.  The address is 742 East Titus and it is just east of Kent Station.
