WHAT is wrong with me!?

ok so I am currently 40 weeks and 6 days and why haven't I felt a single ache or pain?  I know I shouldnt be complaining about this but I feel like I should be feeling something at this point.  Most likely will be induced Friday it seems but I was still hoping to be feeling some signs the baby is ready to come out!

    With DD I didn't feel any pain until the morning I went into labor.  I woke up and the contractions started.  I was 40w3d and DD was born 40w4d.

    The only aches I've felt are related to the extra weight I'm carrying and not baby coming out. You must make a nice comfy home for your lo. Nice to know there is an end in sight though. I know my drs won't let me go much past 41 weeks but I have nothing scheduled yet. I'm hoping lo decides to come out this weekend.

    I feel the same. I actually feel better than I did in the 2nd trimester.  Ugh.  Come on contractions, I am ready for you!

    I can't tell you how much I understand how you feel!  I am one day behind you and also have no signs that labor is approaching.  I have started to think that my body just doesn't understand that it is supposed to go into labor and that it will never happen on it's own. DH and I went out for Indian food the other night (which we never usually eat, but people told us that the spicy food made them go into labor, so we tried it!) and he was trying to get me to eat this spicy chicken even though I normally hate spicy food and I broke down crying in the restaurant because I felt like it was my fault that LO hadn't come yet!  Rationally I know that is ridiculous, but your mind and hormones mess with you at this point.  At least you know that there is only a few days left...I know you would rather it happen naturally, but at least you know that one way or another you will be holding LO in your arms in a few days.  I have to wait until April 1st to be induced!!!  That feels like an eternity!

    i'm not past my dd yet, but I feel the same way. I thought I would feel SOMETHING by now. I feel better than I did a few weeks ago!  And if one more person aske me how i'm feeling or when the baby's coming, I may cry.  I guess he'll come when he's ready, or when the DR evicts him...

    So glad I am not the only one...I am bored at home just waiting and have done lots of 'reading' and some women just don't go into labor on their own...i find this hard to believe but I cant help thinking maybe I am one of them.  We shall see!  At least I have an eviction date...but I cannot help thinking I have done something wrong...going to try some yoga poses today...

    I hope you have something soon! I can say that it is incredibly frustrating having some signs of labor for months (contractions and cramping) and still not knowing if you'll have the real thing!
