Modification of visitation?

Does anyone know how easy it is to actually try to get a modification? Do you just have to lawyer up and submit a request or is it more difficult than it seems.

I've been warned by my attorney that although I have a very good chance of having STBXH's requests for visitation denied while he's in prison, the fact is he's their father and can always apply for a modification to this down the road.

Getting a lawyer will never be an issue for him since his parents will pay anything to help him stay in the kids' lives. It makes me so mad that there's a possibility that he can pull this crap in the future.

    Not sure where you live but where I am, all you have to do is have your lawyer make a motion for a modification of visitation. The judge should grant it since he's in prison. Once he's out you could either fight visitation all together or ask for supervised visitation.

    I'm just lurking but . . . at least in my state you have to show a substantial change in circumstances to have a modification of custody or visitation, it's not a matter of simply applying and having it granted.  Not sure if that's the case in O-H-I-O.
