DH's grandmother's birthday is coming up & the family is getting together for dinner. DH'sAunt is a grandmother of a 1 year old that we barely see cause they are out of state. She's a nice lady, but likes to go over-the-top with family stuff.
She wrote me an email suggesting that we dress her grandaughter & my DD in identical outfits for the occassion.
DD & her grandaughter have never met. I've seen the baby maybe twice (except for photos).
I think this is weird. I don't know how to reply. WWYD?
Re: WWYD - dressing alike
I might politely reply that you already have a cute dress picked out that your mom or someone else in the immediate family just bought for her.
I know lying isn't very nice but it does sound a little weird to me.
If you don't want to do it then tell her that you already have an idea of what you wanted your DD to wear.
For me, it would depend on what she had in mind. If it was cute then I would probably be ok with it.
