what are you using? a blanket? a stuffed animal? what is considered safe? is it something that your LO already favored or did you just introduce it for sleeping and they took right to it? DS doesnt favor any one thing during the day time so I would have to offer him something jsut for bedtime and I am not confident that he would feel an attachment for it and use it to help sooth to sleep. alot of gals have said that it has helped with sleep association so I am willing to give it a try but dont want to confuse him by offering different things until I find "the right one".

Re: Lovies for sleeping
Max has something that is similar to this:
It was a shower gift, so he's had it since the beginning. He doesn't need it to sleep, but he likes snuggling up to it. I make sure to bring it to daycare for his crib, so that he something with him that is familiar and smells like home.
We have one similar to that too from Target. He actually has two. One for home and one for daycare.
We have a similar one from JC Penney. Also received as a shower gift, though we didn't introduce it to her until about 6 months. She loves it now. I went and bought two more, one for daycare and a spare one.
We have a monkey one like this. He loves to suck on it and play with it while he is falling asleep.

He took to it right away.
Kinley has this Angel Dear lovie...she got it in her stocking at Christmas & took to it right away (we actually have 3 we rotate)
She loves to grab it and nuzzle it over her face...and she likes to fall asleep with it by her cheek & stroke the tag
Does anyone use a taggy blanket as a lovey? I'm planning to get DS a lovey for Easter and I'm trying to figure out what he'll like best.
