T&P please UPDATED*

HI ladies,

Well today is a big day for DH's family. His mom is finally getting the knee replacement she needed 5 years ago but b/c she waited so long she is getting them both done today. The Dr she is going to is about 3 hours south of us (so DH nor I are there) and I know she is in good hands with her sister and her niece to take care of her.

She is currently in surgery, but for those of you who pray, please pray for steady hand for the Dr as well as a quick recovery for my MIL.

I know she is doing this b/c LO is on the way and she wants to be able to watch him/her when they arrive.

I've been emotional thinking about her and dwelling on all the negatives right now so I know positive thoughts and prayers for the family are appreciated.

UPDATE: She is out of Surgery and in recovery. Dr said everything went great, not complications what so ever. They didn't even need to give her any blood during the 4 hour procedure. Thanks to all for the T&P

I know it's scary and nothing anyone can say will really calm that but don't worry! I'm sure she is in great hands! I work on an orthopedic unit at a hospital myself and a big part of our unit is total joints (knees and hips) so I see it all the time Big Smile I'm sure she'll do great!

She will of course be in my t&p for a quick and easy recovery Left Hug

My thoughts are with you. My mom just had double knee surgery on Monday and she is doing great. She will be in rehab for 6 weeks. Just think that when this is all over she will have more energy and ability to be with baby.

I said a prayer for your family. Try not to worry too much, it will all work out. My mom recently had kidney surgery so I know what you're going through. It's so hard waiting to hear good news.

My mom had her knee replaced about a year and a half ago. It went very smoothly and recovery was a breeze for her. I am hoping the same for your MIL!

My uncle had both knees done at the same time last summer and had the quickest recovery I've ever heard of! I swear he was walking around in days! Hope your mom has a speedy recovery!

my mom had both knees replaced at the same time about 2 years ago. She came straight home from the hospital. While she did have to live on the upstairs level only, she had a great recovery. I hope everything goes just as smoothly for your MIL.

I'm praying for a speedy recovery for your MIL! My mom had her knee replaced about 7 or 8 years ago, it's a rough road but she'll feel so much better!
