Oh, it felt so good!

After having my IL's here for 3 agonizing weeks when I had DD (They got here the morning of and stayed after I came home from having a c-sec) , I decided that this time it was going to be all about me and what I wanted!  So, last night, I layed down the law with my DH!!!

I told him that his parents could come stay the night before we go in for a repeat c-section, stay at our home while I'm in the hospital for ease of visiting, but when I get out, so do they!  lol  Their other son lives about 2 hrs. away, so they can go stay with him, all I am asking for is the first week home to recoup, walk out of my bedroom without a bra on if I feel like it (er, uh, wearing pj's ofcourse lol), and not have to deal with my FIL sitting his 12 mos pg looking self , permanently parked on our couch, farting and picking his nose, I kid you not!  Then they can come back...

He just looked at me at first and said that he did'nt understand what the big deal was, so I said "How would you have liked my parents being here while you felt like crap when you had your shoulder surgery"? (Mind you, he had a 1 inch incision, you would've thought that the world was ending!  LOL  Compare that to a c-sec incision!)  He got my point. 

A little FYI, my MIL thinks she is a princess, always tries and usually gets things her way, and does absolutely nothing to help out around the house.  No dishes, laundry, cleaning.  And well my FIL,  he's just a bump on a log, plus a dry heave, lol, sorry...

Ahhhh *Breathes a HUGE sigh of relief*  Thank you for listening to me vent  Big Smile

    I'm sure that DOES feel good! I'm so glad that you got to get that off your chest - let's hope your DH stands up for you when it comes time!

    Ugh! Gross! I would NOT want them in my house either! I don't blame you.  That's too many people in the house when you get home.

    Good for you! I'm waiting for the right time to tell DH that his parents are welcome to come after the birth, not for or before. His mother just adds so much unneeded stress to every situation. Don't want to deprive them, but we need to put ourselves first!
