Charlotte OB/midwife? Please?

Help a pregnant lady out, please!

 

My husband and I are moving with our three kids to Charlotte in June. I'm due about a month later with our 4th (and last) baby. I'm getting anxious about finding a good midwife or OB in Charlotte. It seems like they might want to hear from me before I'm 36 weeks and actually in the city. Does anyone have a good OB to recommend? I can drive anywhere in the city for someone good. I'd also be happy with a midwife who works with an OB. I'm all for natural birth done as safely as possible in a hospital or birth center close to a hospital in case interventions are needed, so a midwife group without any OBs available wouldn't work for us. We're pretty easygoing, just want someone knowledgeable and personable. Can anyone please, please recommend a provider?

    I'm using the Piedmont GYN/OB group and will be delivering at CMC Pineville. I've been happy with everyone I have seen in the practice. A couple of threads down someone asked about an OB in the University area...you might peek at that thread, too. HTH!

    ETA: I've been seeing the midwives even though I will have a repeat C/S and will need an OB. They have been fabulous.

    Check out Charlotte Ob/Gyn.  To my knowledge, they are the only ob/gyn group with a midwife service.  4 midwives, all wonderful.  They deliver at CMC downtown and are backed by the Ob's in the group.

    I second Piedmont GYN/OB. Tina was my midwife and she's wonderful. I delivered at CMC Pineville as well and they have midwives that do deliveries as well.

    I 3rd Piedmont GYN/OB (Ballantyne)! I plan to deliver with a CNM but the MDs are great too.
