Never fails, I give up ice cream for Lent and I get a scratchy throat that only a bowl of ice cream can help.
My family and I had this discussion last year, does frozen yogurt count as ice cream? I don't think so but I'll go with the majority on it:)

Re: Would you consider frozen yogurt to be ice cream?
For these purposes, I think frozen yogurt would count. However, I think sorbet would be ok, since it doesn't have any dairy.
This was the main point of our discussion last year...was I giving up ice cream or the frozen concoction of ice cream-like proportions? It made for an interesting and rather entertaining conversation:) I just stayed away from it all to be on the safe side, lol.

From a spiritual perspective- do you feel like it is a cheat? Does it diminish what you are trying to accomplish by giving up ice cream for lent? I mean, if it is just a replacement for something you gave up, what is the point in giving up the ice cream in the first place?
