Water and Sand tables/boxes

We are thinking of getting this for DS's first birthday. Do any of you have a water table? Sand table/box? Does your LO enjoy playing with it? Do you recommend a certain one?

We got DS a water table for his bday last summer. He loves it. I did not get a water/sand table because I hate, hate, HATE sand. It gets everywhere!

We got this one for DD's birthday (which was last week), but we haven't opened it yet because it's still too cold here.

Another vote for the Arctic Splash table here, too. We got one for DD2 for her birthday and she loves it! (My three-year-old does, too.)

I've heard that getting the combo tables pretty much means the water is full of sand and the whole thing is just a mess. So we stuck with just water.

My local TRU only had one of them in stock; when I bought it, the clerk said that it's the most popular item she's seen in the last few years.

We just got this Step 2 water/sand table and absolutely love it so far!

We have almost no shade in our yard, so I love that this table has an umbrella. At the moment, I have water in both sides, and may end up keeping it that way and getting a separate sandbox. Oh, and love the cover, too.
