My brother is getting married the end of May and I am struggling to find a formal dress that is springy and not black. Why do all of the formal maternity dresses I can find that I like only come in black? I know black is slimming but I would really love to have a dress with some color that isn't trying to slim me down. Embrace the belly designers!! Sadly all the really beautiful dresses are very outside my price range too. Boo. I'll keep looking but I just needed to vent....
Re: Ugh (clothing vent)
Be thankful that your weddings are in May! My brother-in-law (well, boyfriend's brother, but it counts) is getting married in July and I'm already dreading being super pregnant in the horrible NY summer heat, let alone being almost 8 months in formal wear! I know that it's supposed to be all about the bride anyway, but I really wish I didn't have to be the one to single-handedly make her look 100 times better in comparison...I can only hope that I'll be beautifully glowing whale and not disgustingly sweaty one
I seriously LOVE ASOS's dresses. They don't look like maternity dresses, which is the best part. And you can usually find a nice one on sale in the $30-$45 range, which is awesome.

My brother is getting married in July so I have been on the lookout for a nice dress too. I found a cute brown one at a baby/kids consignment store. It was only $8!
My brother is getting married the end of July, 2 weeks before my due date. Thank goodness I am not a bridesmaid, but I am doing a reading so I have to find something more formal to wear. I can't even start looking yet b/c who knows how big I will be then. Also July in St. Louis is usually unbearable so I am just hoping that I don't melt or swell up even more. I did see some cute dresses at JCP last week in some bright colors though.
