What clothes did you take to the hospital?

Mom's asking for my Christmas list and, since I have no idea what size I'll be then!, I'm thinking about after the babies come . . . . I have no delusions about being back to my "normal" size, but am wondering what will be comfy to wear in the hospital and immediately upon coming home. The last person we visited in the hospital had a cute little "track suit" type thing on . . . . couldn't tell if it was maternity or not. I'm thinking maybe non-maternity lounge pants and loose tops? (And slippers!)

What if I decide to breastfeed? Do nursing tanks have built in bras? The list provided by the hospital talks about "zip up gowns" - is it crazy to expect to be in real *clothes* though?

It is probably different for everyone but I was comfy in loose sweats. (granted i delivered at 26wks sooo, ya know) I wouldn't expect to fit into your old clothes, but you won't need your huge maternity clothes.

Def check into if your tanks have built in bras otherwise you'll want some along with nursing pads.

I wore draw strong like yoga pants and velour pants and loose shirts. I had a c-section so I had to have pants I could pull up higher so maternity actually didn't work. and yes you don't need a bra with a nursing tank.

I brought yoga pants and a cute long sleeve shirt. One nightgown. And I went home in overalls.

I wore the same clothes home that I wore there (I went to the hospital in the middle of the night so they were clean when I left the house!). I wore capri yoga pants & a long sleeved tshirt. The only other 'clothing' that I took to the hospital were nursing bras.

I actually did still need maternity stuff. I had a maternity tracksuit type thing I wore home. In the hospital I just wore the gown....I was only there 1 full day after delivery though.

Haven't had my kid yet, but I've seen friends and even one of the "Dr. 90210" people (the wife of one of the doctors) who still had what looked like a PG belly going home! So if you have really comfy maternity stuff - I wouldn't give it a 2nd thought to wear it home too.

I didn't know I was going to be admitted, so I was wearing maternity pants and a regular shirt (I wasn't big enough for maternity shirts yet). So 2 1/2 weeks later I wore my maternity pants home. They were too big, but I was so sore from the c-section, I couldn't wear anything else. So definitely take something loose and comfy. Slippers are also a good idea. I wish I would have had mine.?

I wore the hospital gown the first day (I delivered at 7:30am). The next day I wore a nursing tank and some old scrub pants I had at home. Going home I wore a velour outfit that was a size bigger than I normally wear (pre-pg) and a maternity t-shirt.
