completely wasting my afternoon!

I applied for a job on criagslist. Got a call yesterday and was asked to come in today at 1:30 for a interview. Got a sitter arranged for the boys, made sure my hair and makeup looked nice and off I went.

I got there and waas asked to fill out an application and qustionair. okay, I have done staffing agencies before so I did. I turn it in and then I was told by the receptionist that "thank you, and thats all we needed today."

ummmm, what about talking to someone. What about the job I applied for. I was told that they woulod review my application (remember they already have my resume from CL) and its says all the same things and they would make some calls to check referenes. WHAT!

How do they even know if I would qualify for the job if they dont even see me face to face? I could be a total smelly troll with a nice resume and they wouldnt know.

I have no hope that anything will come of this and I am pretty sure the job was a make believe job. I am just pissed that I wasted my prefectly good afternoon on this.

I would be so furious too! That is ridiculous and probably not a company you want to work for/with either. I am sorry you had to deal with that kind of unprofessional bs!
