NBR- I need a good book recommendation

I'm looking for a good, light read book.  Any suggestions?

  • Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon.  That is all.

I haven't read these yet, have them on my Kindle. Great reviews, but I don't think they could be categorized as light.

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

  • Not necessarily light reading, but awesome and entertaining...especially if you are a historical fiction type of person.

  • Jodi Picoult I consider a light read:

    Salem Falls
    Nineteenth Circle
    Plain Truth

Lorna Landvik - Oh My Stars or The View from Mount Joy

David Sedaris - Me Talk Pretty One Day

Those might not be considered a "light read" by all. But I have weird taste in books lol. The subjects might not be light, but they don't take a lot of thinking.

BTW right now I'm reading the Millennium series...not a light read (a lot of thinking involved) .

  • Have you read anything by Jen Lancaster? She writes hilarious memoirs. I laugh out loud and sometimes even snort...

Bitter is the New Black, Bright Lights Big Ass, Pretty in Plaid, My Fair Lazy

  • I loved the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris.

Also noteworthy reads recently have been:

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Colins (Young Adult books but they are great!)

Ransom My Heart by Meg Cabot

  • When I am looking for a light read I read kristin hannah or jodi piccoult. I just finished her new sing you home and loved kristin hannahs winter garden.
