This is kind of a follow-up post from the "What are you going to do differently this time" post from the other day.
I noticed most everyone said they want to gain less this pregnancy. So what are you going to do differently this time to make sure you don't gain as much?
I gained 45 pounds last time and worked out up till 7 months pregnant. What will you change about your diet?
Re: 2nd time mommies re: weight gain
This will be my third child. I did not excersise much with my other two because I worked up until delievery with both of them, so I was too tired to do anything.
This time, I am staying at home so I will just put in a litltle more walking time and stay away from the Blizzards!
my read shelf:
I probably wont excercise too much, I know I should but it's hard.
I just plan on not eating Baskin Robbins every night and stay away from Mcdonald's apple pies. I've been watching what I eat and eating small amounts throughout the day.
two things
one- I will pray I don't have low blood pressure again and can work out
two- I will not eat everything that pops into my head aka, fair food, ice cream, gummy worms, chips and cheese dip.
~*DUE MARCH 5th 2014*~
I gained 50 with DS and would like to stay below 40 if not closer to 30 this time.
1) my diet is already better than it was in the 1st & 2nd tri w/ DS. I plan to maintain this (barring m/s challenges)
2) I plan to walk and swim
3) if I notice the numbers rising too quickly, I'll be more inclined to do something about it - whether that's trying to cut calories a bit but still maintaining nutrients or increasing walking/activity.
I wouldn't say I "let myself go" last time as my diet wasn't too bad or anything, but I didn't exercise much at all and just kind of let things happen. This time I plan to keep a closer eye on my weight gain and overall fitness.
I gained about 25lbs with my first, and I was back to my PP 2 weeks after I gave birth. I definitely didn't binge & eat every single thing I wanted. I really want to try and focus on healthy eating again this pregnancy.
It was such a blessing not having to worry about dieting when I was trying to enjoy my newborn.
I gained 75lbs with #1, 40lbs with #2 and hope to keep it around 30 this time. I'm going to try to eat better this time! I worked with the last two and walked as much as I could so I will do that this time also. Hoping that I can limit all the junk food cravings that I had the last 2 times in the 3rd tri.
Oh and with DD1 I was on bedrest for a few weeks and did nothing but eat!!
I gained 37 with my daughter, but I was technically underweight to begin with... This time I hope to cut 10lbs off that. And I really, really hope not to have another 9lb baby.
my plan: walk more, eat less.
