Am I Vackay Crazy?

I am about to push "go" on a vacaky to the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana) for me, DH, and DD with another couple and their baby.  DD will be 7 months at the time of the trip.  Do you think I am bonkers to go out of the country?  Have any of you gone to Punta Cana or the Caribbean?  Support needed!

    She is so cute! Do you have her passport yet? If not, better make sure you can get her one in time!

    I think with your daughter @ that age you will have a fine trip. I'm not sure how shopping is down there, so you may want to consider packing extra diapers and wipes (which might be a pain given the cost of an extra bag). You'll probably want to take your pack-n-play and possibly your stroller. 

    Otherwise, I bet being around so many people and so much hustle and bustle will put your baby to sleep in the airport and probably the plane.

    I went to the DR a few years back- have you looked in to Puerta Plata? It was a more family-friendly part of the island, and less known for the college-age spring break crowd as Punta Cana was. It was beautiful and the people are fantastic! I suggest going on an RV guided trip if you can- we really got to see the countryside that way! Have fun!
