6.5 month refusing bottles during the day... Anyone else?

My LO is 6.5 months and a big boy (20 lbs, 28 inches). He has been refusing his bottles during the day for the past week. He eats about 2 oz and then pushes the bottle away. He did have an ear infection a couple weeks ago so I thought maybe it was back and took him to the doctor. He said his ears were fine but he had a swollen lymph node in his neck and his throat was red so he though he was getting a virus. It has been 4 days and he doesn't seem sick really but is still refusing the eat during the day. He eats his solids fine and eats fine at night from his bedtime bottle on (still wanting a bottle at 3 am). Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a phase? Should I take him back to the doctor or just wait it out? He's still taking about 26-28 oz a day with his night time feedings so I think that's enough but about 8-10 oz less than what he normally eats. I have also tried fast flow nipples, different bottles and a sippy cup. Any advice would be appreciated.

    This happened to us at 6mo. What a pain!! It lasted about a month then he started eating normal then went back to barely taking his bottle and now he finally drinking good again. it's a vicious cycle. Some days I would struggle to get 20oz down him. Well I nurse at night and 1x in the morning so it's an estimate. He is now taking in about 14oz in bottles a day and nursing 1x morning and 1x night wiht no night wakings. he was up at 3am when he wasn't drinking his milk in the day. it all seemed to happen when he was either sick or on the brink of crawling and pulling up. So sorry you are going through this! hopefully it's just a phase. Have you tried a new bottle? When we switched bottles he seemed to do better.

    We went through a similar phase for about a week at that same age  I made sure that he took a bottle before doing solids and gave smaller portions of solids.  We also discovered he was starting to teethe.

    My DS is almost 7months old and has been on solids since 4 months. He is now eating 2 4oz jars of fruit and veg a day plus a meat at dinner and about 1/2 of cereal. He is small for his age(12.4 at his 6 mo app) but he only takes 2 10oz bottles a day. It has been like that for about a month since we statred the meats.

    Eli does this from time to time. Usually it only lasts about 2-3 days. It just like he's not that hungry and is going on strike. He always gets over it though.
