IVF w/o BCP or Lupron?

Have any of you done an IVF cycle without being on BCP or lupron? I'm just waiting for my next AF to start and then I start stims on CD2 (I have a tentative schedule). I'm taking menopur and follistim with ganirelix to suppress.
Is this normal? LOL

Sac 8/8/11 - There's a yolk sac and maybe a heartbeat 8/12/11 - Fetal pole,
yolk sac, heartbeat 8/18/11 - Baby looks GREAT!

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

Thanks for the info!!! I just wanted to make sure since it seems like everyone is talking about BCP or Lupron to start and I'm not on either! haha

This round, I'm doing IVF without bcps or Lupron either. First time. I just got AF this morning and my nurse said she will be contacing me with my calendar in 2 weeks..
So I haven't done it this way before, so we shall see how it goes! I will be taking Menopure and Gonal F.. not sure what I'll be using for suprression.. but they are also throwing Viagra suppositories in the mix this round.. fun!

2/06 - surprise pregnancy - twins
3/06 - m/c 1st baby at 6 weeks
5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
Diagnosis: Blood clotting and bleeding disorder, immune issues, & cervical stenosis
5/10 - 1st IVF cycle - BFN
FET - 10/12/10 - BFN
1/11 - IVF with PGD - BFN
IVF - May - BFN
6/11 New RE - fingers crossed!
9/11 - IVF - 4 transferred
10/13 - BFP!!
It's a boy! Clint Michael, Due in June!!!
Don't worry! Dr. Morales said that this is her preferred way now. Try not to compare. I am sure your RE is putting you on this protocol because it'll work for you. Some people need Lupron and BCP to suppress and some don't. I didn't.

I did IVF#1.5 and #2 without BCP or Lupron because I was over-suppressed when I used them for IVF#1.

I don't know the difference. But, I know this. DrA is putting me on long lupron, suppressing me w/Lupron in conjunction with using Aygestin. Which is different from your protocol. But I love and trust my RE, and I know my RE says if he had to choose an IVF RE in OC, he'd choose your RE as #1 on his OC list. High praise!
What I'm trying to say is, I think you're in good hands!
1/11: IUI #2 = 5mg Femara + trigger + IUI = BFN
2/11: IUI #3 = injectibles + trigger + IUI = BFN
IVF #1 April 2011 ER 4/23 w/16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 11 fert., 4 blasts to freeze, 5dt of 2 blasts on 4/28, beta #1 5/7 = 243... beta #2 5/9 = 491....beta #3 5/11 = 1113!!
