Any summer 2011 new moms in the valley?

We are expecting our first child August 12, 2011, so excited. Are there any soon to be new moms in the San Fernando Valley area? We live in Toluca Lake and I would love to meet new moms to plan play dates, share great places to shop or whatever. All my mommy friends live too far away.

I'm not due until October 3rd, but I would love to be involved. I live in Sherman Oaks, but am originally from Michigan where all my mommy friends reside. Hope to meet y'all soon. PS-really darling website/blog for crafty mammas-too cute!
