Im not sure either, I always try and get things that can be used for the summer. His first Easter he got a little plastic wagon with some beach toys. Last year I got him a big blue bucket filled with gardening tools from Target. I loved that because its still in good shape and he will have them to play with this summer. This year I am stumped!
We'll try the Easter egg hunt thing this year and see how she does with it. I'll put some candies and coins in some eggs. In her basket, I'll probably find something she can use in the nice weather: a new pair of flip flops, some beach toys.
I'm really, honestly stumped this year. Her birthday is the week before Easter this year, so I don't know what I'm supposed to do.
I feel like I got more....but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. So glad I hit the bins!
This! We hit the $1 bin and got great goodies: egg shaped sidewalk chalk, 2 sesame street board books, sports eggs (to fill with chocolates and "hide" in the backyard) and a small pastel play-dough set.
Thanks. I will hit up Target and check out the bins. I picked up Annie's gummy bunnies, which are his favorite "special" treat, and will get some of the crackers also. I saw they have cute metal type buckets, with stripes and polka dots, maybe I will just pick up 2 of those.

I hit the jackpot at walgreens of all places this year! They had little train and track sets that were $3, a whistle that blows bubbles when you blow it but doesn't spill for $2. and various other little toys perfect for easter baskets!
Well, Collin is getting a basket that says Colin, if they don't FIX IT PROMPTLY. I am just a TAD annoyed.
I got him "It's The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown" (which is really for me, but whatever), and am going to get him a Thomas train, a new Piggie and Elephant book, some form of treats -- he likes cereal and granola bars -- socks, because I am a lame mom and bought him 17 pairs over the weekend, probably a small Chuck truck, some bubbles and a new (big-boy) sippy cup.
Re: What is the easter bunny bringing?
We are going to do:
I think that's it. He's pretty easy to please. It's only two weeks after his birthday, so we aren't going to go crazy.
The only Easter Bunny I can get behind.
