The drainage is killing me..ugh!

I woke up from my nap yesterday with a sore throat. I thought it was from a dry throat but so far no amount of water has helped. Last night my sinuses were draining into my throat and it's so uncomfortable. I only have 3 days left till my edd I was hoping to get through this pregnancy without these kinds of issues. Anyone know what might help? I tried robitussin which my dr approved earlier on for a slight cold but that didn't help and I've been drinking and sucking on cough drops. What can I take to stop the drainage. I do not want to go the last 3 days to a week with this, I'm miserable and couldn't sleep more than 20 mins at a shot last night.

    That really sucks. I don't have any suggestions since I caught a cold right before my induction and was getting no sleep at all leading up till the delivery. Just take it easy and try and nap as much as you can during the day to catch up on rest.

    You could try some benadryl. Other than that, rest when you can, drink fluids and a saline nasal spray helped keep my sinuses from getting too inflamed. Feel better!

    I'm right there with you and I have just about had it!!! UGH!! I've tried Benadryl (since I'm pretty sure this mess is due to the ridiculous amounts of oak pollen in the air) which seems to help, but only temporarily. I just took some Sudafed for the first time a few minutes ago... we'll see if that helps. I can't imagine trying to push a baby out when I can't breathe! Hope we both feel better soon. :)

    When DH got sick, I starting using the baby's humidifier in our room, which seems to have helped.
