babymoon booked!

Last night we finally made actual plans and booked flights to the Cayman Islands for mid May! We normally go for mountainous island locations with lots of hiking, but decided to stick with a nice flat island with gorgeous beaches so that we won't feel like we're missing out on things because I'm pregnant. I've already contacted some boat tour places that take you to a place called stingray city where you swim with stingrays in shallow water - they will take a 6 month pregnant lady along :-)

Yay! After my research, I do think that this is a great babymoon location - water is safe to drink, island is safe to get around yourself, and with only 60 feet at it's highest point - there shouldn't be any tough hiking!

    Grand Cayman is beautiful.  Never been to Stingray City but our best friends have and rave about it.  They do say to skip Hell though, it's just a big tourist trap.

    Oh I love Cayman. I went there on a cruise and we did the Stingray City. It is very cool. They stingrays are all very nice and think you have food so they come right up to you. On our boat the guy got one of the stingrays up to where we could get pictures with it. He then had the stingray "kiss" you which was really cool and you get a pretty cool picture of that. I will say their tails feel kind of weird passing by you in the water but it is an experience you will never forget!

    That will be a beautiful babymoon! I think Grand Cayman is where I swam with stingrays...very cool! Enjoy :)

    That sounds amazing! My parents are on a cruise this week and they are going to see the stingrays too.

    thanks everyone - I'm super excited. Who knows when the next time we'll be able to take a big trip after baby is born (although I'm hoping as soon as breastfeeding is up baby can spend a week with the grandparents ;))

    That sounds amazing! Minus Stingray City...I don't care how nice they are--I was stung by one in high school, and it was one of the worst painful experiences of my life (and I had DS meds-free). But I bet the boat tours will be amazing! :) Have fun! We're visiting my family in FL this week, so I'm at the beach now, and it's SUCH a nice break from Ohio!
